EFFECT OF ADDING DIFFERENT LEVELS OF ONION (Allium cepa linn) POWDER TO BROILER DIETS ON THE PHYSIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Between October 15, 2021, and November 26, this study was carried out in the broiler field at College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University Baghdad Abu Ghraib to examine effects adding various dosages onion powder, "Allium cepa linn", chicks' diets on physiological characteristics. The experiment employed 225 unsexed (Ross 308) one-day-old chicks with an average weight 40g. A total were divided into 5 treatments by three replicates each treatment 15 per replicate randomly. experimental as follows: first fed starter ration from one day old 21 d old, after which they a finisher diet 22 42 old. described T1 (control treatment): basal without powder addition, T2: 2g/kg powder/kg feed, T3: …….. 4g/kg feed part T3 treatment. Both T4 T5 added rates 6g 8g kilogram respectively. experiments findings suggested following: There significant decrease (P<0.05) level serum cholesterol concentration for T2 compared that controlled However, did not differ significantly T3, treatments.
